Nita Scott is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) who is trained and experienced in providing counseling and therapy for individuals, families, couples, children, adolescents, and adults. She has worked with diverse populations in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Her specialties include family dynamics and relationship issues (premarital education, intimacy issues, separation/divorce support, and parent-child relationships); trauma -related counseling; anger management; geriatric counseling; and grief counseling. Nita has extensive training in the areas of substance abuse, co-occurring disorders, suicide prevention, interpersonal violence, and domestic violence.  Nita’s treatment approaches include Aggression Replacement Training (ART), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing. Nita is also certified to provide consultation and supervision to undergraduate and graduate students in the field of Marriage and Family Therapy as a Qualified Supervisor through the Florida Mental Health Licensure Services.

Dawna Haswell is the founder of and lead therapist at A New Dawn, A New Beginning, LLC. She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) who is trained and experienced in providing counseling and therapy for individuals, families, couples, children, adolescents, and adults. Dawna has extensive training in trauma related treatment interventions and she specializes in the assessment and treatment of trauma related disorders. Dawna offers integrative and evidence-based treatments for clients. She also offers consultation for family member who may have also been affected by trauma and/or abuse. As a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional, Dawna’s work integrates developmental, biological, psychodynamic, and interpersonal aspects of the impact of trauma and its treatment. Dawna has completed training in Advanced Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavior Therapy (TF-CBT), Advanced Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Play Therapy Interventions, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Prolonged Exposure Therapy. Dawna also has extensive training in the areas of substance abuse, co-occurring disorders, suicide prevention, conduct disorders, ADHD,  anger management,interpersonal violence, and domestic violence.  Dawna is certified to provide consultation and supervision to undergraduate and graduate students in the field of Social Work as a Qualified Supervisor through the Florida Mental Health Licensure Services.
