Marsha is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) who is trained and experienced in providing counseling and therapy for individuals, families, couples, children, adolescents, and adults. Marsha specializes in geriatric counseling, anger management, & grief counseling. Marsha also has extensive training in the areas of substance abuse, co-occurring disorders, interpersonal violence, and domestic violence. Marsha treatment approaches include Positive Psychology, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing. Marsha also completed a certification in geriatrics. Marsha is also certified to provide consultation and supervision to undergraduate and graduate students in the field of Social Work as a Qualified Supervisor through the Florida Mental Health Licensure Service.


Nita Scott is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) who is trained and experienced in providing counseling and therapy for individuals, families, couples, children, adolescents, and adults. She has worked with diverse populations in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Her specialties include family dynamics and relationship issues (premarital education, intimacy issues, separation/divorce support, and parent-child relationships); trauma-related counseling; anger management; geriatric counseling; and grief counseling. Nita has extensive training in the areas of substance abuse, co-occurring disorders, suicide prevention, interpersonal violence, and domestic violence.  Nita’s treatment approaches include Aggression Replacement Training (ART), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing. Nita is also certified to provide consultation and supervision to undergraduate and graduate students in the field of Marriage and Family Therapy as a Qualified Supervisor through the Florida Mental Health Licensure Services.

Meet Our Team

Courtney Williams is a Master's Level Clinician and a Registered Clinical Social Work Intern. Courtney is experienced in providing individual and group counseling to children, adolescents, and young adults. Courtney specializes in trauma-related counseling and provides counseling for a variety of issues such as behavioral concerns, anxiety, anger management, ADHD, oppositional defiant disorder, conduct disorders, and autism. Courtney's evidenced-based treatment approaches include: Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Play Therapy Interventions, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Child-Parent Psychotherapy (CPP). Before she began her work as a therapist, Courtney worked as a Certified Behavioral Health Case Manager (CBHCM) for 4 years. Her experience expands across a variety of mental health, not-for-profit, and community-based organizations. This includes working with children in school settings and adolescents and adults in community mental health.

Dawna Haswell is the founder of and lead therapist at A New Dawn, A New Beginning, LLC. She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) who is trained and experienced in providing counseling and therapy for individuals, families, couples, children, adolescents, and adults. Dawna has extensive training in trauma related treatment interventions and she specializes in the assessment and treatment of trauma related disorders. Dawna offers integrative and evidence-based treatments for clients. She also offers consultation for family member who may have also been affected by trauma and/or abuse. As a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional, Dawna’s work integrates developmental, biological, psychodynamic, and interpersonal aspects of the impact of trauma and its treatment. Dawna has completed training in Advanced Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Advanced Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Play Therapy Interventions, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Prolonged Exposure Therapy. Dawna also has extensive training in the areas of substance abuse, co-occurring disorders, suicide prevention, conduct disorders, ADHD,  anger management,interpersonal violence, and domestic violence.  Dawna is certified to provide consultation and supervision to undergraduate and graduate students in the field of Social Work as a Qualified Supervisor through the Florida Mental Health Licensure Services.
